About the Author

Martha Fernandez is a bilingual author. She became a writer and educator in cosmetology with the publication of her instructional hair cutting, coloring, and design books. Her debut book, Haircutting Basics, acclaimed by teachers and students of cosmetology, was implemented in over 2,000 schools of cosmetology, translated into Spanish, and sold in Latin America by Editorial Planeta under the title Cómo cortar el cabello. Martha also authored The Haircoloring Manual, followed by the production of several instructional videos in cosmetology. Among them were Haircutting Basics, Haircutting with Clippers, and Braiding Beautiful. Martha will continue to make her books available to the Spanish-speaking community with the future release, Cómo teñirse el cabello en casa. Believing in reform and social justice, she has donated her educational books to incarcerated and disadvantaged cosmetology students.
